This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer technical support and leadership in developing and implementing technology solutions that facilitate customers’ digital transformation.
• Deliver services to clients, accounting for roughly 75% of the role.
• Engage in intricate project scopes with limited guidance from customer/System Integrator representatives.
• Contribute to the design and deployment of deliverables related to Rocket products.
• Execute new solutions under the guidance of the Delivery Architect.
• Develop proof-of-concept and proof-of-value technology analyses and pilots.
• Present and conduct training sessions, both internally and externally.
• Take part in technical forums and professional community activities.
• Address common technical issues utilizing subject-matter expertise.
• Collaborate as part of a team while nurturing relationships with team members and clients.
• Oversee the implementation of technical solutions, which constitutes approximately 25% of the role.
• Lead a team and convey project status and potential risks to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to clients on technical issues.
• Stay updated on architecture, software versions, and requirements.
• Assess technical resource needs and coordinate resource requests with the Project Manager.
• Manage technical communications, new requirements, scope modifications, and the impacts on delivery in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Ascertain whether changes represent product defects or enhancements.
• Estimate new project requirements and secure approval from the Architect or Manager.
• Conduct or delegate code reviews.
• 5-7 years of pertinent technical experience.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a confident telephone demeanor.
• Proactive and capable of functioning effectively under pressure.
• Experience in implementing, customizing, or maintaining complex IT projects.
• Analytical mindset to evaluate test results and facilitate defect resolution.
• Organized and methodical, adept at managing multiple tasks.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Technical expertise in two or more of the following: IBM Enterprise COBOL or PL/I programming; IBM CICS, IMS, and JCL; relational databases such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL; Windows; Linux/UNIX; AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience in mainframe application modernization projects is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in business and IT architecture are preferred.
• Proficiency in another EU language is preferred.
