Senior Cloud Solutions Architect – Principal Consultant, AWS Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical aspects of intricate AWS consulting projects from initial discovery through to go-live.

• Create and execute secure, scalable AWS architectures in accordance with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Convert business needs into technical roadmaps and architectural strategies.

• Lead migrations from on-premises to cloud and from cloud to cloud using AWS MGN and DMS.

• Promote the adoption of Kubernetes/EKS and microservices architectures.

• Provide guidance on and implement AI/ML services, including Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker.

• Generate Environment Assessments, Gap Analyses, Technical Roadmaps, and Project Handovers.

• Keep customer stakeholders updated on progress, risks, and key milestones.

• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure delivery aligns with timeline, budget, and scope.

• Mentor engineers through code and architecture evaluations.

• Resolve complex issues directly within the AWS console or CLI.

• Articulate architectural choices to engineering teams and C-level stakeholders in both English and Portuguese.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure/architecture, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated to AWS.

• Demonstrated experience in a consulting or Principal-level position.

• Expert-level understanding of AWS core services: EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and IAM.

• Advanced networking proficiency with Direct Connect and Transit Gateway.

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and EKS.

• Strong skills in Linux/Unix administration.

• Familiarity with RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and NoSQL databases.

• Proven history of large-scale migrations involving complex data sets and legacy systems.

• Knowledge of the AWS AI/ML stack and experience integrating Generative AI into enterprise architectures.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical decisions to non-technical and executive stakeholders.

• Proficient in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal, including the ability to present to C-level executives in both languages.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are desirable qualifications.

• Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing is advantageous.
