Solution Architect – Asset Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for Asset Protection initiatives, overseeing every technical element of the sales process involving hardware, software, and services.

• Conduct discovery sessions to pinpoint retailers’ loss-prevention goals and challenges, converting them into the appropriate RetailNext Asset Protection solution.

• Present and sell to stakeholders in loss prevention, IT, business, and executive roles.

• Manage several accounts and opportunities simultaneously.

• Create and deliver demonstrations that showcase behavioral analytics, POS exception reporting, ORC and sweep detection, and searchable video.

• Function as the in-depth product authority for the RetailNext platform, which includes Aurora® sensor integration, cloud video, and Asset Protection features.

• Address customer objections and respond to competitive inquiries.

• Assess technical infrastructure, connectivity, APIs, POS and file-transfer integrations, camera compatibility, and zone configuration.

• Assist in developing proposals and implementation strategies, encompassing scoping, quantification, and project planning.

• Complete RFI/RFP/RFQ submissions and security and compliance questionnaires, including those for SOC 2 and GDPR.

• Collaborate with Support Engineering to resolve connectivity, zone configuration, reporting, and integration challenges.

• Provide technical training to customers and internal teams.

• Support current Asset Protection clients and identify opportunities for expansion.

• Relay customer insights to product and sales teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in pre-sales/sales engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.

• Proficient understanding of IP networking principles—routing, NAT, and firewalls.

• Strong technical expertise across hardware and software, capable of implementing new technologies in practical environments.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of delivering credible presentations to both technical and business audiences.

• A proactive individual who works independently, handles multiple opportunities concurrently, and keeps stakeholders informed on progress.

• Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and prospect meetings.

• Background in loss prevention, asset protection, physical security, or retail technology.

• Knowledge of video surveillance, EAS, POS systems, or retail analytics.

• A degree in a technical discipline (data networking is a plus).

• Experience in responding to RFPs and security/compliance questionnaires (SOC 2, GDPR).
