AI/ML Solution Architect – LATAM/US

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete AI/ML solution architecture for client projects and lead delivery teams.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business challenges and offering technology consulting.

• Assist with presales efforts, which includes technical discovery, solution design, and estimation, dedicating approximately 20% of your time.

• Provide technical leadership to 2–3 AI and cloud engineers while mentoring junior and mid-level team members.

• Design and develop agentic systems that can plan, utilize tools, and automate business processes.

• Create LLM-powered applications and RAG pipelines, focusing on chunking, embedding, retrieval strategies, evaluation, and iteration.

• Engage with vector databases and search technologies, encompassing indexing strategies, hybrid and semantic search, as well as relevance tuning.

• Conduct prompt engineering, model selection, and systematic evaluation of LLM outputs.

• Develop scalable services that implement AI/ML capabilities.

• Build scalable Python services and data flows for ingestion, transformation, and document preparation, including Text2SQL.

• Integrate AI services with external systems using REST APIs, authentication, webhooks, and SaaS platforms.

• Implement AI solutions on AWS, utilizing tools like Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and Textract.

• Define infrastructure as code using Terraform/Terragrunt or AWS CloudFormation.

• Design, construct, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across various environments.

• Stay updated on AWS innovations and contribute to AWS Competency and Service Delivery Programs.

• Collaborate with Application Development, Cloud Migration, PMO, Sales, and Presales teams.

• Participate in international client projects involving real users, data, and infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience, including recent hands-on involvement in AI projects, with a background in AI/ML, data, or backend engineering.

• Prior experience in an architect role; this should not be your first time in such a position.

• Practical experience with both GenAI and traditional ML solutions.

• Strong experience with AWS, particularly Amazon Bedrock, and familiarity with some of the following: SageMaker, Glue, MWAA, EMR, RDS, Aurora, S3, OpenSearch, ElasticSearch.

• High proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with the GenAI ecosystem, including LangChain, LlamaIndex, agent frameworks, LLM provider SDKs, and Pydantic.

• Comprehensive understanding of LLM application concepts, such as RAG, embeddings, vector databases, tool calling, agent patterns, prompt engineering, and evaluation.

• Good command of SQL and a working knowledge of core data engineering concepts, including ETL, pipelines, and data modeling.

• Proven experience in designing, consuming, and integrating APIs, as well as connecting AI services to existing systems.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, a consulting mindset, business acumen, and comfort in client-facing roles.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with global, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to work in US time zones, with several hours of overlap with the Hungarian team.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Nice to have: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or another AWS Professional/Specialty certification.

• Nice to have: Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

• Nice to have: Experience at an AWS partner or a similar professional services company.

• Nice to have: Experience with multiple cloud providers.

• Nice to have: Pre-sales engineering experience.
