This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of Mass Spectrometry software and workflow solutions.
• Oversee the complete product lifecycle from initial concept and strategy through development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
• Convert market trends, customer requirements, and workflow needs for LC- and GC-MS into product specifications and prioritized backlogs.
• Establish and refine value propositions, feature sets, and release strategies.
• Collaborate across various functions during product development and release stages.
• Assist in product enhancements, updates, and maintenance tasks.
• Work alongside commercial marketing on product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
• Ensure alignment of software products with broader workflow and hardware ecosystems.
• Perform market and competitive analysis to uncover opportunities and confirm product direction.
• Serve as a technical and workflow authority for products in both internal and customer-facing discussions.
• Steer the advancement of Agilent’s Masshunter software ecosystem and next-gen workflow solutions that support laboratories globally.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Analytical Sciences, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Generally, 8+ years of pertinent experience in product management, software, or scientific applications.
• Deep understanding of LC- and/or GC-MS workflows, especially in mass spectrometry data analysis.
• Experience overseeing software products or software-intensive scientific workflows throughout the product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to varied audiences and translate customer needs into product specifications.
• Experience working within cross-functional global teams, encompassing R&D and commercial sectors.
• Customer-focused mindset and capability to synthesize customer feedback and market insights into revenue opportunities and product strategies.
• Proven expertise in Metabolomics, Proteomics, or Intact Peptide Mapping is a notable strength.
• Strategic mindset with a strong emphasis on execution.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across both technical and commercial teams.
