This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and uphold the product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with organizational objectives and user requirements.
• Oversee backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and the refinement of user stories.
• Create precise, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and lead requirement-gathering sessions.
• Encourage collaboration across engineering, UX, QA, security, and operations teams.
• Manage the product lifecycle from initial concept through delivery and ongoing enhancements.
• Evaluate user feedback, operational metrics, and mission needs to realign product priorities.
• Ensure that product decisions are informed by data and consistent with enterprise goals.
• Assist in release planning, roadmap presentations, and high-level product briefings for executives.
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation, decision logs, and tracking artifacts for features.
• Advocate for Agile best practices and foster continuous improvement across product teams.
• An active Secret clearance is required, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is necessary.
• At least 10 years of experience in product management, software development leadership, or Agile delivery roles is required.
• Proven experience in defining product strategy, roadmaps, and user-centric features.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams is essential.
• Experience in collaborating with technical teams to convert user needs into actionable stories.
• Strong grasp of Agile product delivery, backlog management, and sprint planning is necessary.
• Knowledge of software development processes, technical requirements, and system dependencies is needed.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and their integration with product operations is required.
• An understanding of user experience considerations and mission-driven feature prioritization is essential.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification is mandatory.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is required.
• Experience assisting product management in federal or enterprise settings is preferred.
• Proficiency in using Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Familiarity with data-driven decision-making frameworks for product prioritization is preferred.
• PMP or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification is preferred.
• Additional certifications in product management or Agile leadership are preferred.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences are necessary.
• Excellent analytical and prioritization skills are required.
• Ability to achieve consensus among diverse stakeholder groups is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are required.
• Ability to guide product direction in a dynamic mission environment is essential.
