This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Direct the strategic roadmap for PowerSchool’s product portfolio.
• Oversee the development and execution of the product roadmap.
• Lead a team of professionals in product management.
• Evaluate product requirements and opportunities through research and feasibility studies.
• Collect and analyze competitive intelligence for product categories.
• Engage in product modifications, cost reduction strategies, margin analysis, forecasting, product positioning, and pricing tactics.
• Ensure alignment of roadmap initiatives with portfolio vision, business goals, market demands, and competitive landscape.
• Act as a senior product authority and vital resource for clients, prospects, and partners.
• Collaborate with Sales and Project Management to gather and document business requirements.
• Lead the development and curation of comprehensive business requirements for product and project initiatives.
• Partner with data operations and engineering teams to implement projects and roadmap objectives.
• Assist in formulating go-to-market strategies.
• Stay updated on industry regulations impacting product development.
• At least 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or an equivalent number of years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15-20%, for important events such as team summits, training sessions, customer meetings, and company events.
• Subject to company on-call policies, including availability outside of normal working hours as necessary.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams and managers.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of experience managing other professionals, including conducting performance reviews/evaluations.
• At least 5-7 years of product management experience with demonstrated growth in management and leadership roles.
• Familiarity with K12 district needs for classroom environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle models.
• Excellent leadership and management capabilities.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/products concurrently.
• Outstanding customer-facing skills.
• Competence in effectively leading teams and enhancing team capabilities.
