This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute visible software installations and upgrades for Varian products both on-site and remotely.
• Identify and resolve issues related to software installations and upgrades.
• Operate within both physical and virtual environments, including various operating systems, databases, software, and networking technologies.
• Assess assigned tasks to ensure the necessary hardware and software components are available.
• Complete installation documentation in accordance with Varian's Quality processes and procedures.
• Manage and maintain customer system inventories using Keystone or similar tools.
• Collaborate with teams in project management, software planning, local services, hardware installation, and remote software deployment.
• Showcase equipment operation and specifications as outlined in the Customer Acceptance Procedure.
• Conduct installation readiness reviews of customer IT infrastructure and project plans.
• Provide training and mentorship to new Installation Representatives as necessary.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts to facilitate installation and upgrade tasks.
• Execute installation and upgrade activities for small to medium-sized projects.
• Record detailed installation and upgrade information in company systems.
• Uphold professionalism and safety in line with company standards and customer regulations.
• Submit daily reports, work orders, timecards, expense reports, and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Utilize escalation procedures for problem resolution and seek technical assistance when required.
• Offer constructive feedback on products and documentation to enhance installation processes.
• Provide training, mentoring, and advice to new and less experienced Installation Representatives.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% across ASEAN and Korea as needed.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field, or 5-8 years of relevant experience in healthcare, medical, or hospital settings.
• Practical experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Proficient in administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and commonly used server roles and features.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, such as IP addressing, routing, firewall concepts, and troubleshooting network connectivity.
• Capability to diagnose and resolve typical network and system communication issues using standard troubleshooting methods and tools.
• Familiarity with Citrix or other remote application delivery and virtualization platforms is advantageous.
• Extensive professional technical experience with system software and exceptional debugging abilities.
• Valid passport and readiness to travel internationally on short notice within ASEAN, Korea, and other required destinations.
• Proficient in the local language (Thai, Bahasa Malaysia) as well as English, both written and spoken.
