This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Craft intricate single-turn prompts within the propulsion and effects sector.
• Classify prompts as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
• Assess model outputs against a specified policy standard.
• Evaluate whether responses accurately addressed technical inquiries.
• Develop reference answers and articulate the technical rationale behind them.
• Differentiate between standard professional inquiries and those that may suggest potential misuse.
• Maintain ongoing reading and writing on misuse scenarios within the industry.
• Proven experience in designing, qualifying, or testing propulsion and initiation systems using actual hardware and test data.
• Relevant expertise in munitions or warhead design and effects engineering; design, testing, and qualification of solid, liquid, or hybrid propulsion systems; terminal effects modeling; fuzing, safe-and-arm, and initiation system engineering; or engineering and instrumentation for test ranges related to propulsion or ordnance.
• Strong preference for candidates with technical writing experience, published research, or expertise as an expert witness.
• Submission of a technical writing sample or link is required.
• Capability to produce rationales that are comprehensible to non-specialists.
• Must refrain from utilizing classified, export-controlled, NDA-covered, or prepublication-review information.
• Obligations regarding classified information must be disclosed to appropriately scope the work.
