Sound Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Prepare recording sessions in alignment with best practices, project requirements, client demands, or recording studio specifications.

• Adhere to technical specifications while executing tasks.

• Conduct audio postproduction on recorded materials.

• Execute mixing, create sound effects, and perform audio batch analysis and processing.

• Communicate workload, potential risks, and opportunities to management.

• Collaborate with colleagues engaged in postproduction tasks.

• Establish strong relationships with Project Managers, Audio Asset Managers, Audio QA, Recording Studios, and other Globalize teams.

• Manage the technical aspects of specific audio projects or batches as an Audio Project Lead.

• Ensure adherence to project timelines, technical specifications, and quality standards.

• Oversee the activities of other Sound Engineers.

• Assist in the onboarding, training, and mentoring of Sound Engineers.

• Support Recording Studio teams with session preparations, audio deliveries, and maintenance of studio facilities.

• Foster collaboration and mutual support within the Globalize team, Service Lines, and Shared Services teams.

• Perform additional audio-related tasks as requested by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and a second language.

• Ability to convey information clearly and succinctly to all stakeholders.

• Solid understanding of audio localization workflows, processes, and tools.

• Familiarity with digital audio workstations and advancements in sound engineering.

• Basic knowledge of the video games market, including publishers, developers, platforms, and notable titles.

• Experience in audio recording and postproduction.

• Previous experience in the video games industry is highly desirable.

• Proven track record of effective collaborative teamwork.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing tasks.

• Capable of handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic and complex setting.
