Software Engineering Manager I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture multidisciplinary Backend and Mobile/Web teams.

• Conduct individual meetings, individual development plans (IDPs), performance evaluations, and initiatives for talent retention.

• Interpret and communicate the company’s strategic objectives to the team.

• Ensure that the technical direction aligns with business goals.

• Oversee the delivery of comprehensive solutions, from the in-app user experience to the reliability of backend services.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Designers, and other team leaders.

• Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business units.

• Maintain transparency, visibility of deadlines, and alignment of expectations.

• Promote psychological safety, teamwork, and ongoing feedback.

• Serve as an ambassador for Stone’s culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading or managing technology teams.

• Strong technical foundation in software development.

• Capability to guide architectural discussions for Mobile (Kotlin/Android/iOS), Web (React/Next.js), and Backend (.NET, APIs, Microservices, Event Sourcing, Event-Driven Architecture).

• Experience in environments featuring scalable, integrated, and highly available systems.

• Excellent communication skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence to resolve conflicts and support engineers' career development across diverse expertise areas.
