Software Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Assist in designing and implementing tailored NetSuite solutions utilizing SuiteScript (2.x) for workflows, user events, and integrations.

• Enhance NetSuite configurations for accounting (GL, AR/AP, financial reporting), inventory management, and order processing.

• Ensure the scalability and performance of applications based on NetSuite.

• Plan, prioritize, and execute engineering projects while adhering to scope and budget.

• Collaborate with product managers, finance, and operations teams to establish requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Monitor project progress using Agile/Scrum methodologies along with tools like Jira, Monday, or Asana.

• Apply and enforce Git methodologies, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Supervise audit processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

• Offer hands-on guidance in SuiteScript development, REST/SOAP APIs, and NetSuite SuiteFlow/SuiteTalk.

• Promote best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.

• Keep abreast of NetSuite updates, Shopify APIs, Celigo enhancements, and EDI standards.

• Collaborate with accounting, inventory, and operations teams to align technical solutions with business operations.

• Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Serve as a NetSuite subject matter expert during strategic planning sessions.

• Mentor team members and oversee cross-functional projects.

• Report directly to the Director of EDI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.

• More than 5 years of practical experience with NetSuite, including SuiteScript (2.x) and JavaScript.

• Demonstrated expertise in accounting processes (e.g., GL, AR/AP, financial reporting) and inventory management within NetSuite.

• Practical experience with Shopify API and e-commerce integrations.

• Proficient in SuiteScript (JavaScript-based), REST/SOAP APIs, and customizations in NetSuite.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, or similar platforms.

• Understanding of accounting principles and inventory management processes.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
