This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance the Microsoft Fabric architecture, including medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers), data pipelines, and mirrored/non-mirrored databases.
• Create Power BI solutions by applying expert-level data modeling and reporting standards.
• Contribute to the AI roadmap by designing AI-ready data architecture, which encompasses semantic layers and medallion structure.
• Collaborate with DBA, DevOps, and application teams to craft scalable, production-ready data solutions.
• Analyze SQL Server database logs, pinpoint performance issues, and support high-availability, 24/7 production environments.
• Facilitate API integrations for data access and exchange across various systems.
• Design and uphold observability practices across the data platform utilizing tools such as Azure Log Analytics and KQL.
• Assess and propose tools, patterns, and standards for the overarching data and AI platform strategy.
• Contribute to technical development initiatives.
• Extensive experience at a senior level in data solution design, covering schema design, system integration, and scalability planning.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and/or Power BI.
• Proven experience in designing AI-ready data architectures, including semantic layers and medallion structure.
• Strong SQL proficiency and experience in data pipeline design and optimization.
• Familiarity with SQL Server performance monitoring concepts.
• Experience with medallion architecture and cloud data warehousing methodologies.
• Practical experience with Fabric Data pipelines or analogous pipeline/orchestration tools.
• Experience in API-based data integration.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Azure ecosystem and data-related services, such as App Services, VMs, Blob Storage, Log Analytics, and networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python, Fabric notebooks/Spark, or familiarity with MLflow/model registry concepts.
• Awareness of Fabric’s AI-adjacent capabilities and AI grounding concepts related to data.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell and/or Azure DevOps dashboards/pipelines.
• Familiarity with Power BI Embedded or similar embedding frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or modern analytics patterns.
• Knowledge of RAG, vector/embeddings concepts, AI agents, or principles related to responsible AI/governance.
• Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting, or health-related analytics is a plus.
