This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and sustain automated testing scripts and cases within current frameworks to facilitate the evaluation of cybersecurity products.
• Implement test plans across endpoint, cloud-based, and microservices-oriented security solutions, escalating intricate issues to senior engineers as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with developers and product teams to integrate quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Assist in the incorporation of automated tests into existing CI/CD pipelines, adhering to established team protocols.
• Identify, document, and monitor defects, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure their resolution.
• Contribute suggestions for enhancing testing processes, frameworks, and tools, and embrace best practices established by senior team members.
• Utilize AI-driven engineering and testing tools introduced by the team to aid in automation development and defect identification.
• Help pinpoint opportunities to minimize manual efforts through automation and intelligent tooling.
• Provide clear and timely updates on testing progress and defect statuses to the immediate team.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or a related technical position, with some familiarity with test automation.
• Proficient understanding of automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, JUnit, or TestNG, alongside scripting or programming experience in TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with or interest in testing cybersecurity products, including endpoint detection, threat detection, MDR/XDR, SIEM, or SOC platforms, is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts; familiarity with tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or Jenkins, and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a readiness to seek advice from senior team members when required.
• An inquisitive nature regarding the application of AI-powered tools in testing and a genuine enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
• Familiarity with Git and an interest in developing TDD and BDD skills.
• Excellent communication skills, a cooperative mindset, and a desire to learn and advance within the team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
