Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and oversee intricate Airflow DAGs for pricing automation, margin reporting, and cost analysis.

• Construct and manage rate deck pipelines across various product lines.

• Create and sustain pricing APIs and services in Python utilizing asynchronous programming.

• Examine CDR/MDR data to uncover vendor discrepancies and facilitate refund and reconciliation processes.

• Develop automated discrepancy resolution and self-healing pipelines.

• Generate and uphold financial reports, including monthly margin reports, negative margin alerts, and GP calculations.

• Design and implement new automation for quoting workflows.

• Manage backend systems and pipelines that support pricing, margin reporting, and cost analysis across Telnyx's product range.

• Collaborate with finance, sales, and product teams that depend on these services for pricing strategies, vendor-cost reconciliation, and business reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Python.

• Proficient in async programming with aiohttp, asyncpg, and FastAPI.

• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining complex Airflow DAGs in production environments.

• SQL proficiency with PostgreSQL and analytical databases like Athena or BigQuery.

• Familiarity with financial and pricing data, including margins, markups, cost basis, and currency.

• Capability to read and troubleshoot Java services.

• Experience with CI/CD practices using Docker, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

• Strong problem-solving skills related to logs, databases, and data pipelines.

• Background in managing production services and pipelines, including on-call duties and incident resolution.

• Comfort with using AI coding agents in investigation workflows.

• Experience with Go (a plus).

• Background in telecom or CPaaS (a plus).

• Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM integration (a plus).

• Experience with pricing engines or billing systems (a plus).
