Senior Python Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable backend services and microservices utilizing Python and Flask.

• Engage with intricate business logic to create reliable solutions for demanding backend challenges.

• Assume responsibility for backend components, overseeing everything from technical design to implementation and subsequent optimization.

• Make independent technical and architectural choices and contribute to the overall backend structure.

• Design and enhance SQL databases, including data models, queries, and performance optimization.

• Utilize Redis for caching and other production-related applications.

• Develop and manage cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services.

• Create and incorporate AI-driven functionality using Python, encompassing work with AI/ML models, model wrappers, and agents.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to design and implement resilient, scalable, and maintainable systems.

• Recognize technical bottlenecks and proactively enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Participate in system design discussions and the technical decision-making process.

• Be accountable for delivering backend solutions in a dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of substantial commercial experience in Python backend development, demonstrating a proven Senior-level track record.

• More than 2 years of practical experience with Flask.

• Extensive experience in designing and developing complex backend systems and business logic.

• Strong proficiency in SQL databases, including their design and optimization.

• Practical experience with Redis in production settings.

• Solid background with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure.

• Comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture, scalability, and backend system design.

• Experience with AI-related solutions in Python, such as working with AI/ML models, model wrappers, agents, or integrating AI capabilities into backend systems.

• Strong system design and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to independently address complex technical challenges.

• Capability to take full ownership of backend solutions, make technical decisions autonomously, and operate with minimal supervision.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment with a significant level of responsibility and autonomy.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
