Software Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the strategy of the Invoice Simple platform by developing new features and maintaining existing products.

• Take ownership of and enhance CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and automation of infrastructure.

• Collect requirements, design solutions, implement improvements, and deploy code efficiently.

• Collaborate with application teams to refine service architecture, deployment methods, and production practices.

• Enhance system reliability, availability, observability, and operational readiness.

• Utilize industry-leading tools to boost team performance and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Work alongside team members as a dependable and skilled colleague.

• Engage in incident investigations and spearhead enhancements to prevent recurring issues.

• Travel may be necessary to EverCommerce’s Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or other office locations across North America.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong foundations in software engineering with experience in building production systems.

• Significant experience with a major cloud service provider, ideally AWS.

• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, networking, databases, and cloud architecture.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure.

• Proficient in using Typescript for developing type-safe and well-structured code.

• Solid knowledge of the JavaScript tooling and ecosystem.

• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Familiar with native mobile development tools.

• Experience in creating an internal developer platform or self-service infrastructure tools.

• Knowledge of database reliability and performance, especially with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

• Familiarity with FinOps or strategies for optimizing cloud costs.

• Experience in settings with security or compliance requirements such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, or similar standards.

• Familiarity with progressive delivery, feature flags, canary deployments, or automated rollback strategies.

• Must be eligible to work without the need for sponsorship.
