Staff Software Engineer – Platform, Financial Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the frontend technical strategy and architecture for products related to financial reconciliation and operations.

• Develop and lead applications using React and TypeScript, focused on high-volume financial data, including features such as tables, filtering, visualizations, and transaction-level analysis.

• Oversee auditable human-in-the-loop workflows that encompass validation, approval states, error management, permissions, and review history.

• Establish comprehensive end-to-end agreements with backend and API teams.

• Implement frontend quality standards for testing, accessibility, performance, observability, feature management, and secure deployment.

• Propel ambiguous, high-impact initiatives that involve collaboration among engineering, product, design, and Finance stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting users to transform operational challenges into actionable product and technical roadmaps.

• Mentor engineers to elevate the technical proficiency of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Extensive experience in building and deploying production web applications using React and TypeScript.

• Full-stack proficiency encompassing both frontend and backend services.

• Proven history of leading complex, cross-functional projects from initial problem definition through to rollout and subsequent iterations.

• In-depth expertise in frontend architecture, including state management, API integration, performance enhancement, accessibility, testing, and observability.

• Experience in developing data-intensive operational products, enterprise software, or workflow systems.

• Background where precision and user trust are critical.

• Preferred experience with financial systems, reconciliation, or payment processes.

• Ability to influence technical direction across different organizational boundaries.

• Experience in fostering alignment through well-documented technical designs and product discussions.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI with appropriate human oversight.
