Software Engineer, Marketing Recommendations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to implement new features, models, and techniques that enhance the recommendation platform at Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

• Develop clean, well-structured, testable, and efficient code.

• Participate in all stages of the application development life cycle.

• Create and maintain the necessary infrastructure within cloud environments like AWS.

• Oversee and upgrade current real-time processing systems.

• Detect bottlenecks and bugs, and propose effective solutions.

• Ensure the overall health of the system through automated testing and monitoring.

• Work closely with engineers and stakeholders to establish efficient automated processes.

• Integrate with third-party applications and vendors.

• Explore alternative solutions to existing challenges for ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A mid-level engineer with a solid understanding of Python.

• Over 5 years of experience in software development using Java/Python or a similar high-level programming language.

• Proven experience in creating highly available and reliable distributed systems.

• Familiarity with the AWS stack, including EC2, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, and AWS Lambda.

• Experience with containerized applications.

• Proficient in Kafka and Kafka Streams.

• Data Engineering capabilities, particularly in ETL processes.

• Strong visual and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of PySpark and PyTorch or similar frameworks is a plus.
