This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of, enhance, and sustain integration and end-to-end test automation frameworks, along with their corresponding CI pipelines.
• Create and execute technical solutions aimed at optimizing test execution time and improving test stability.
• Draft technical specifications and Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), contribute to the design of technical solutions, and collaborate with engineers throughout the organization.
• Assist engineering teams by managing triage requests and sharing best practices related to quality assurance and test automation.
• Play a key role in the advancement of the company's overall testing strategy.
• Collaborating with your team’s tech lead and manager, you will break down larger projects into manageable tasks, deliver them in phases, and work with others to ensure timely completion of your assignments.
• This position involves participation in an on-call rotation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in both TypeScript and Python.
• Practical experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Background in building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and AWS.
• Strong foundation in quality assurance, test design, and comprehensive understanding of testing techniques and methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on effective asynchronous communication methods such as technical specifications, RFCs, wikis, and project plans.
• Experience in developing or enhancing test automation frameworks and infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Experience in mobile, infrastructure, and performance test automation will be viewed as a significant advantage.
• A strong desire to grow and continuously learn new skills.
• Proven ability to transform simple problems or business scenarios into solutions that engage multiple software components and execute by writing clear, understandable, well-tested, and extensible code.
