Software Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, test, launch, and sustain full-stack web applications utilizing React, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

• Improve and expand current applications by adding new features as business requirements evolve.

• Create front-end experiences and back-end services for internal business and operational applications.

• Develop and manage RESTful APIs and integrations.

• Construct responsive, user-friendly, and maintainable React user interfaces.

• Design custom mapping and geospatial functionalities within web applications.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and operations teams to gather requirements and convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Diagnose and rectify application, API, integration, and database issues across both development and production environments.

• Engage in technical design, code reviews, testing, documentation, and ongoing enhancement efforts.

• Spot opportunities to enhance application performance, usability, automation, and operational efficiency.

• Contribute to software projects from the initial requirements phase through delivery and continuous support.

• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in software development using React, Node.js, and TypeScript.

• Strong command of JavaScript.

• Professional experience in building and maintaining web applications.

• Comprehensive experience in full application stack development, encompassing both front-end and back-end.

• Experience in developing and utilizing APIs/integrations.

• Capability to convert business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a development team.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Familiarity with Esri/ArcGIS technologies is preferred.

• Experience in developing mapping or geospatial web applications is preferred.

• Knowledge of the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript or ArcGIS APIs is preferred.

• Experience using Three.js or similar JavaScript visualization technologies is preferred.

• Background in working with geospatial data or GIS workflows is preferred.

• Experience integrating mapping applications with REST APIs and enterprise data sources is preferred.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing is preferred.
