Software Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and improve Go APIs and services for the authentication gateway and financial request-routing infrastructure.

• Engage with authentication and authorization processes utilizing OAuth2, JWT, certificates, identity providers (IdPs), and SK.

• Maintain and enhance API Gateway plugins, ensuring comprehensive resilience and observability.

• Guarantee high availability, performance, and low latency for high-traffic edge services.

• Take part in Kubernetes deployments, observability efforts, and incident management.

• Document the changes that have been implemented.

• Construct and sustain production systems with an emphasis on performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentorship.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of production experience with Go, particularly in mission-critical services.

• In-depth knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and certificate management.

• Strong security orientation, encompassing secrets management, cryptography, and the hardening of exposed APIs.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and the deployment of containerized applications.

• Understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Acquaintance with non-relational databases, such as MongoDB.

• Knowledge of distributed caching solutions, including Redis.

• Capability to identify architectural and developmental process gaps and recommend solutions.

• Proficiency in conducting code and documentation reviews.

• Experience in implementing automated testing and applying CI/CD best practices.

• Ability to collaborate on architectural decisions, code reviews, and provide technical mentoring.

• Familiarity with API Gateway architecture; experience with Kong is a bonus.

• Knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS, and ElastiCache) is advantageous.

• Experience with GitOps and Argo CD is a plus.

• Familiarity with or interest in financial markets, payment systems, or payment methods is a plus.
