This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Select tasks from a validated collection of Go repositories linked to specific git commits.
• Investigate repositories and associated PR or issue histories to gain insight into the subsystem.
• Reformulate engineering questions to effectively challenge coding agents while ensuring they remain clear and answerable.
• Modify rubrics and distractors to incentivize correct reasoning and eliminate plausible yet incorrect answers.
• Execute and refine the Studio validation loop: Check, Golden, Run, Analyze.
• Record work details in the task README.
• Submit tasks for expert evaluation and incorporate feedback from reviewers.
• Conduct work remotely and asynchronously within Mercor Studio.
• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience with significant production in Go.
• Proficiency in navigating extensive, unfamiliar Go codebases and articulating runtime behavior.
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency, interfaces, module boundaries, and the standard library.
• Competence in reading generated code and utilizing build tools.
• Relevant experience with distributed systems, networking, storage engines, or Kubernetes-related tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent command of written English.
• Familiarity with git at the commit level, containerized environments, and command-line tools.
• Completion of identity verification, background checks, signed Terms of Work and CIIAA, tax form, and passing a brief calibration quiz is necessary for onboarding and task access.
