This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Engage in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, which includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of secure, mission-critical applications.
• Architect, create, and sustain scalable, high-performance, and maintainable applications utilizing Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript.
• Design and enhance Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database solutions.
• Develop and support cloud-based solutions within AWS GovCloud environments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud services and system integrations.
• Collaborate in an Agile setting with product owners, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and DevSecOps teams.
• Perform code reviews, unit and integration testing, and debugging processes.
• Generate and maintain technical documentation that encompasses architecture, design, and implementation details.
• Ensure adherence to federal regulations, Department of Workforce policies, and security standards.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, status reports, and performance updates for government stakeholders and corporate leadership.
• Foster relationships with internal and external partners to cultivate a positive, results-oriented work environment.
• Possess an active Top Secret Clearance; Interim TS will be considered.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting the complete Software Development Lifecycle, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of secure enterprise-level applications.
• At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud platforms.
• Practical experience with Java or Kotlin and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and contemporary development frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases, including the ability to write and optimize queries while ensuring data integrity.
• Experience supporting applications in AWS GovCloud or other secure cloud environments.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, performance optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, conducting code reviews, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Highly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to self-organize, prioritize tasks, and conduct research across multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
