Senior Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the expert in cloud architecture, offering strategic guidance, governance, and technical leadership across various cloud platforms and services.

• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and other cloud environments.

• Manage intricate cloud projects from strategy to execution, collaborating with project managers, engineers, vendors, and service providers.

• Establish and uphold cloud architecture standards, design patterns, operational procedures, and technology roadmaps.

• Create and enhance multi-cloud operational support models, including processes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.

• Work alongside business stakeholders, research and development teams, security teams, and enterprise architects to create integrated cloud solutions.

• Lead cloud migration projects, focusing on application modernization and extensive infrastructure transitions.

• Advocate for infrastructure as code, automation, DevOps, and cloud governance practices to boost efficiency and delivery.

• Assess architectural risks and devise mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity, security, compliance, and operational excellence.

• Propel continuous advancements in cloud performance, reliability, security, scalability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree and cloud certifications are preferred.

• Professional-level cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud technologies.

• Over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.

• Demonstrated experience leading extensive cloud transformation and migration initiatives.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure operations, networking, storage, virtualization, containers, security, and governance.

• Practical experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms in enterprise settings.

• Significant experience with Kubernetes, VMware, and containerized application platforms.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Python, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.

• Experience in developing architectures for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, retention, and resilience.

• Strong grasp of cloud security frameworks, vulnerability management, compliance standards, and security best practices.

• Familiarity with Linux, Windows, database technologies, and IT service management practices.

• Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.

• Proven capability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and executive-level insights.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.

• A strong enthusiasm for emerging technologies, open-source innovation, and ongoing learning.
