Principal Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, deploy, and manage cloud solutions.

• Ensure system integrity and security.

• Maintain relevant documentation.

• Support and enhance automation processes.

• Develop scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Continuously update knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI cloud services.

• Monitor and optimize cloud systems for peak performance.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external customer groups to devise strategies and design solutions.

• Provide guidance to implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts.

• Address escalations and offer assessments, recommendations, and resolutions to issues.

• Draft and uphold standard operating procedures, work instructions, and knowledge articles.

• Support cloud engineering, migration, and operations for a substantial multi-tenant cloud platform and enterprise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical training, certifications, or a relevant degree.

• 5 to 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and operations.

• Proficiency in cloud computing with AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

• Technical expertise in Linux and Windows Server.

• Outstanding communication skills with a proven track record of delivering presentations to diverse audiences across different organizational levels.

• Must successfully pass a background check for a Public Trust position.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
