This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of features from their requirements through to production, encompassing breakdown, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

• Develop and enhance the new TypeScript/NextJS system to replace the legacy platform.

• Handle feature requests, provide work estimates, and deliver results autonomously.

• Produce clean, tested, and production-ready code.

• Make informed technical decisions and articulate trade-offs involved.

• Monitor production features utilizing logs, metrics, and alerts.

• Refactor, document, and minimize technical debt.

• Investigate development escalations and engage in incident response efforts.

• For L4, oversee domain incident investigations, assign tasks, communicate updates, and ensure post-mortem analyses are conducted.

• Create and maintain runbooks and documentation.

• Engage in the shared on-call rotation following the ramp-up period.

• Develop unit and integration tests.

• Take part in code reviews and identify edge cases and risks during the planning phase.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and fellow engineers.

• Contribute to sprint planning and partake in technical discussions.

• Mentor junior engineers at L3+ levels.

• Advance from shipping an initial production feature to independently delivering comprehensive features and managing domain development escalations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven, hands-on experience with TypeScript/NextJS.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Prisma, AWS (EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, SQS, S3, NLB), Docker, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and CodeRabbit.

• Experience using Vitest and Playwright.

• Daily engagement with AI coding tools for tasks such as code generation, debugging, test creation, codebase exploration, and accelerating code reviews.

• Capability to comprehend and assess all shipped code, including that generated by AI.

• Professional experience with PHP is advantageous but not mandatory.

• For L3: Ability to lead small projects, mentor L1/L2 engineers, proactively enhance the codebase, and instruct on effective AI workflows.

• For L4: Capacity to serve as the technical authority for a domain, spearhead cross-team projects, establish team AI standards, and manage incident responses.
