Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Develop software utilizing Java, JavaScript, and various scripting languages.

• Design data models and web APIs.

• Generate software tasks based on system requirements.

• Conduct requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Troubleshoot and debug systems.

• Enhance and maintain existing systems.

• Design, develop, and document new features.

• Utilize Atlassian tools for daily Scrum activities.

• Implement web services, data persistence access features, and external interfaces.

• Adhere to Agile software development methodologies and team architecture standards.

• Construct and modify CI/CD pipelines within the Azure Cloud environment.

• Manage deployments and maintenance as needs and requirements evolve.

• Diagnose server and production issues while implementing cybersecurity solutions.

• Provide mentorship to junior-level software engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in software development.

• More than 5 years of experience in Java development.

• At least 2 years of experience with Azure Cloud.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

• United States Citizenship is required for eligibility to secure the clearance.

• Experience in software development using Java, JavaScript, React, Gradle/Maven, HTML, CSS, and other object-oriented programming languages.

• Familiarity with architecture and CI/CD environments, including Docker, Ansible, and Jenkins.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Perl on Linux servers or environments.

• Capability to deliver a system end-to-end in Azure Cloud.

• Proficiency with version control systems like Git and/or Bitbucket.

• Proven track record in developing and integrating complex software systems throughout the entire SDLC.

• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Skills in designing, developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and debugging web applications.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Front-end technology experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, and React is preferred.

• Experience with Gradle is preferred.

• Familiarity with Ansible and Jenkins is preferred.
