Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create innovative cloud solutions that cater to millions of customer devices globally.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and efficient backend code, mainly utilizing TypeScript, with Terraform when required.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality cloud-based software on AWS.

• Develop, implement, monitor, and support various services.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, offering technical leadership and assistance.

• Identify and resolve software defects through troubleshooting and debugging.

• Collaborate with engineering, firmware, support, and production teams.

• Facilitate the application of a testing trophy throughout the software stack.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive software development expertise with TypeScript.

• Intermediate experience in cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Proficiency with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines, including CircleCI.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Vitest.

• Understanding of agile development methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum.

• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Postgres, DynamoDB, and Redis.

• Strong debugging capabilities, ideally down to the network level using tools like Wireshark.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work effectively as part of a distributed, multinational team and independently.

• Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts such as kW, kWh, Amps, and Volts (preferred).

• Experience with Python, C, C#, or Rust, as well as frameworks such as React (preferred).

• Familiarity with smart home devices, vehicle charging points, or solar diverters (preferred).
