
Engineering Analytics and IP Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Define the technical architecture and long-term strategy for analytics, automation tools, data workflows, and AI/ML development.
• Lead and oversee the division's portfolio of engineering analytics and automation tools.
• Propel continuous improvement and innovation throughout engineering systems and capabilities.
• Establish and implement centralized governance for tools, scripts, datasets, and AI/ML models.
• Ensure lifecycle management, documentation, version control, and cyber-secure development practices are upheld.
• Monitor compliance with governance, conduct audits, and escalate any instances of noncompliance.
• Manage the technical IP lifecycle from conception to protection readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and Legal to ensure the technical soundness, completeness, and defensibility of IP.
• Assess IP and tool productization opportunities and assist in customer-discovery activities.
• Build, develop, and mentor a specialized technical team dedicated to data science, analytics, automation, and AI/ML.
• Manage performance, employee development, recruitment, training, and cross-training initiatives.
• Analyze engineering workflows and conduct process mapping to identify opportunities for automation, data, analytics, and AI/ML.
• Advocate for solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and engineering decision-making.
• Prepare executive-level reports on IP status, technical risks, emerging technologies, and development progress.
• Define and monitor KPIs for tool adoption, portfolio impact, efficiency, quality, commercial readiness, and IP progression.
• Maintain partnerships with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in engineering analytics, software/tool development, or data/AI/ML initiatives.
• A minimum of 3 years in a management role or technical leadership position, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven experience in automation, scripting, analytics, or engineering tool development.
• Experience in defining or guiding technical architecture, development standards, and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data engineering workflows, and analytics methodologies utilized in engineering settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across functional teams.
