This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Provide direct strategic assistance to landscape partners throughout the UK and Ireland.
• Establish connections with companies, funding organizations, governmental entities, foundations, and knowledge institutions.
• Obtain funding and financing avenues, including the forthcoming nature restoration law funding in Ireland.
• Engage with the nature finance and funding ecosystem in the UK.
• Pair finance providers with landscape partners.
• Collaboratively design approaches to overcome systemic barriers and leverage opportunities for comprehensive landscape restoration.
• Jointly develop a fundraising strategy that spans the UK, Ireland, and Europe, encompassing both public and private sectors.
• Foster systemic innovations such as bioregional finance, payment for ecosystem services, and educational networks.
• Organize learning sessions aimed at enhancing fundraising and facilitation capabilities.
• Collaborate with Commonland’s global learning community and the European landscape restoration network.
• Travel frequently within the UK and Ireland, with occasional international trips.
• A number of years’ experience in partnership development, landscape restoration, and/or fundraising, particularly within the UK/Ireland.
• A robust understanding of the environmental, agricultural, rural, or sustainable development sectors in the UK/Ireland.
• Strong literacy in nature finance and funding.
• Knowledge of funding and market-based finance mechanisms.
• A keen interest in regenerative practices, new economy concepts, and bioregional strategies.
• Proficiency in English.
• An extensive network of stakeholders involved in landscape restoration in the UK/Ireland.
• Currently residing and eligible to work in the UK or Ireland.
• Availability to work 32–40 hours per week.
