Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to identify challenges, explore potential solutions, and establish requirements along with acceptance criteria.

• Convert business requirements into actionable technical strategies, providing clear explanations of options, trade-offs, and constraints.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software, ensuring a focus on accuracy, usability, security, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Work in conjunction with QA and product teams to pinpoint edge cases, clarify uncertainties, and embed quality throughout the development process.

• Proactively communicate updates, risks, and changes in scope.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive critiques.

• Document decisions to enhance system comprehension and maintenance.

• Leverage AI for design exploration, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation tasks.

• Manage changes throughout the release process, investigate issues, and utilize customer feedback to enhance the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to explain complex concepts in a clear and respectful manner.

• Willingness and motivation to work directly with customers and team members to identify needs, ask clarifying questions, and transform ambiguity into actionable requirements.

• Proficient in a modern programming language.

• Experience in building and maintaining applications.

• Strong dedication to quality through thoughtful design, appropriate testing, code reviews, and a focus on customer experience.

• Solid problem-solving abilities.

• Capable of balancing urgent needs with long-term maintainability.

• Practical experience in deriving valuable outcomes from AI tools, including problem decomposition, context provision, iteration, and independent verification of generated work.

• Take responsibility for software delivered, which includes code developed with AI assistance.

• Exercise good judgment when managing customer and company information.

• Must reside full-time in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, or Florida.
