Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain scalable and dependable back-end systems and APIs for high-traffic applications.

• Engage with production code from the outset on systems that facilitate a 24/7 real-time sports betting experience.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify software issues to guarantee performance and reliability.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and designers to implement new features.

• Adjust to shifting priorities while maintaining a balance between delivery speed and technical excellence.

• Employ modern tools and best practices to address complex problems at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant combination of education, experience, and training.

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in object-oriented back-end development utilizing languages such as C# or Java.

• Strong understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and the fundamentals of back-end systems.

• Familiarity with designing and supporting scalable distributed systems in cloud environments like AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience in writing and maintaining automated test suites, which include unit, integration, and performance tests for back-end services.

• A collaborative mindset towards code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on debugging.

• A gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency may be required as a condition of employment.
