Senior Developer – Corporate Systems, Merchandising IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, improve, and maintain applications for Store associates and users at the Store Support Center.

• Manage the entire delivery lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, design, development, unit testing, quality assurance support, and deployment.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to expedite the transition from prototype to production while adhering to standards for testing, code review, security, scalability, and maintainability.

• Address user-reported issues in ServiceNow within service level agreements (SLA).

• Identify and escalate potential risks as necessary.

• Conduct research and document recommendations for system upgrades.

• Provide mentorship to junior developers.

• Engage in code reviews to ensure quality standards.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and development standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Over 5 years of comprehensive software development experience.

• Advanced backend development skills in Java/Spring Boot.

• Practical experience with modern Java (17/21 LTS) features such as virtual threads, records, sealed classes, and pattern matching.

• Database proficiency in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, including skills in query writing, indexing, and performance tuning through query plan analysis.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design of distributed systems.

• Expertise in REST APIs, SFTP file transfers, and pub-sub messaging systems (queues/topics).

• Demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.

• Capability to convert AI-generated prototypes and proofs-of-concept into secure, scalable, production-ready applications.

• Experience working in Agile environments utilizing Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Preferred experience in frontend technologies such as React or Angular with TypeScript.

• Preferred experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Preferred knowledge of CI/CD practices using Jenkins and container orchestration with Docker Swarm or Kubernetes.

• Preferred experience with Terraform and Dynatrace.

• Willingness to travel, including by air and car, as required.
