Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute and oversee systems analysis, design, and development ranging from basic to complex.

• Act as an individual contributor on intricate projects.

• Maintain a comprehensive functional understanding of the applications being supported.

• Guide and supervise less experienced team members while coordinating development tasks.

• Prepare and oversee the technical aspects of project plans.

• Engage in the systems development process from technical analysis to user acceptance testing.

• Develop and assess test data, execute detailed testing plans, and complete debugging tasks.

• Analyze complex interrelationships between programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.

• Offer analytical consulting and leadership in the implementation of information technology solutions.

• Draft and review technical and functional specifications as well as systems documentation.

• Prepare evaluations, task estimates, timelines, and effort assessments.

• Ensure the efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications.

• Suggest new technologies, policies, or processes and take part in vendor software evaluations.

• Adhere to and advocate for development standards and procedures.

• Support risk management, regulatory compliance, audit, and internal control obligations.

• Collaborate with management, technology staff, clients, and vendors.

• Monitor team performance and manage project-related activities.

• Provide support to upper management and serve as a technical representative when needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate's degree with 5 years of experience in systems analysis/application development, or a combined total of at least 7 years of higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 5 years in systems analysis/application development.

• Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.

• Proficient in using personal computers, project management software, word processing software, and spreadsheet applications.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with prior experience presenting to the intended audience.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong lateral thinking capabilities.

• Experience in coordinating efforts between Applications and business units.

• Proven experience in recommending and implementing systems solutions.

• Experience in driving project milestones and meeting delivery deadlines.
