Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the quality of software development and deployment as a member of an AI-driven engineering team.

• Analyze software and systems to mitigate risks and prevent issues.

• Design, code, test, and debug technical solutions, including intricate components.

• Provide support for products and resolve defects in legacy technologies.

• Assist in transitioning legacy products to modern web technologies.

• Write clean, well-documented, and commented code in accordance with best practices.

• Estimate effort required and ensure adherence to schedules.

• Collaborate in specifying, designing, and developing software to fulfill product requirements.

• Identify process inefficiencies and implement enhancements.

• Conduct code reviews through pull-request assessments and pair programming.

• Collaborate with the security team to comply with data-security standards.

• Operate independently on well-defined tasks while supporting less experienced team members.

• Utilize AI tools to expedite development, code reviews, and specification tasks.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills, including awareness of emerging trends.

• Propose innovative solutions to enhance business efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a comparable position.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar).

• Proficient in Java or Microsoft C#.

• Solid understanding and experience with SQL.

• Knowledge of APIs and REST.

• Experience with unit testing.

• Strong understanding of quality standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Awareness of current trends and advancements in software engineering, particularly in AI-assisted development methods.

• Experience with Agile or Kanban methodologies.

• Ability to identify technical risks and suggest alternative solutions.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Desirable: experience with JavaScript, Angular, or Knockout.

• Desirable: familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine, GCP offerings, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

• Desirable: knowledge and experience with AWS.

• Desirable: degree or equivalent qualification in a related field such as computer science, computer engineering, information management systems, software development, or business information systems.
