Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, implement, and sustain production software across the entire application stack.

• Create new functionalities while enhancing and modernizing AbaxOne.

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of AbaxOne's architecture, workflows, integrations, and dependencies as responsibilities transition to the U.S.-based team.

• Assist in establishing enduring internal technical ownership and continuity for the AbaxOne platform.

• Comprehend business challenges, investigate solutions, experiment, and apply engineering judgment.

• Identify application defects, integration failures, data issues, performance challenges, and production incidents.

• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.

• Make informed technical decisions while balancing speed, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.

• Recognize technical debt, risks, and opportunities to simplify or enhance the platform.

• Contribute to testing, code reviews, documentation, deployment, security, and production readiness practices.

• Utilize and assist in developing AI-assisted engineering methodologies while ensuring correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, QA, Data, Implementation, Infrastructure, Security, Support, and business stakeholders.

• Take initiative and ownership of challenges and projects from analysis through to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience in building and supporting production applications.

• Proficiency across various aspects of a modern application stack, including backend, frontend, APIs, relational databases, integrations, or cloud technologies.

• Strong skills in system design, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis.

• Familiarity with SQL, APIs, automated testing, source control, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with contemporary cloud environments; preference for Microsoft Azure.

• Capability to rapidly learn new technologies and systems.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools with sound technical judgment and validation.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, initiative, and ownership skills.

• Experience with .NET/C#, healthcare technology, HL7/FHIR, EHR integrations, or HIPAA-regulated environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection.
