Software Engineer – Agentic Search Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Share your experience in designing, optimizing, and managing production search systems.

• Discuss methodologies related to search quality, evaluation, relevance, retrieval, and impact measurement.

• Detail the systems you have developed for agentic search and the scaling of data infrastructure.

• Engage in a 25-minute conversational interview.

• May have the opportunity to participate in a compensated 30-minute live discussion with the Mercor team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering production search systems, particularly agentic search systems.

• Track record of owning relevance or retrieval in systems utilized by actual users.

• Demonstrated experience in quantifying the impact and enhancements within search systems.

• Background in building systems associated with agentic search.

• Experience in scaling data infrastructure for contemporary search systems.

• Capability to discuss search quality, evaluation, and trade-offs based on real-world systems.

• Completion of a 25-minute conversational interview is mandatory.

• No coding or take-home assignment is necessary.
