This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Architect, develop, and sustain automated testing frameworks for native iOS and Android applications.
• Create and expand automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration coverage.
• Incorporate mobile test automation into CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or comparable platforms.
• Run automated tests on simulators, emulators, and actual devices.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to enhance application testability and automation coverage.
• Analyze test failures, determine root causes, and enhance automation stability and reliability.
• Contribute to the architecture of mobile automation, tooling standards, and best practices for testing.
• Identify deficiencies in automated coverage and prioritize high-impact test scenarios.
• Assess and implement new mobile automation tools and technologies as necessary.
• Utilize AI-driven tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance test development, debugging, root-cause analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Mobile Engineering, QA, and Product teams to guarantee that mobile features are dependable and ready for release.
• Over 3 years of experience in software testing, SDET, or test automation roles, with substantial mobile automation expertise.
• Practical experience with mobile automation frameworks like Appium, XCUITest, Espresso, or similar tools.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Swift, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience in designing and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks.
• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in testing native applications across simulators, emulators, and physical devices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience collaborating closely with software engineers to enhance testability and resolve complex defects.
• Comprehensive understanding of mobile application lifecycles, release processes, and platform-specific behaviors.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Product, and QA teams.
• Willingness and capability to effectively utilize AI-assisted tools to improve automation development, debugging, analysis, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Candidates must be classified as a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
• Preferred: Experience with cloud-based mobile device testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
• Preferred: Experience with mobile performance, reliability, or network-condition testing.
• Preferred: Familiarity with mobile accessibility and UX testing best practices.
• Preferred: Experience in testing security-sensitive, identity, or cybersecurity applications.
• Preferred: Understanding of App Store and Google Play release workflows.
