This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, conducting regular one-on-one meetings while cultivating a collaborative team environment dedicated to delivering value to automotive dealers.
• Actively engage with the codebase, implement features, create proofs of concept, and tackle complex MarTech and web-scale engineering challenges.
• Drive the development of generative AI capabilities and enhance the data ecosystem.
• Create platform functionalities that improve interactions between dealerships and buyers.
• Promote operational excellence within both build teams.
• Maintain focus and accountability to adhere to strict two-week sprint cycles.
• Identify and eliminate daily obstacles, accurately estimate work, and ensure high-quality continuous delivery.
• Collaborate closely with the VP of Product to implement roadmap priorities.
• Work alongside the peer engineering manager to guarantee cohesive platform architecture and synchronized release cycles.
• Ensure seamless frontend-to-backend integration with UX/UI design.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering.
• At least 2 years in a hands-on management role overseeing software developers.
• Strong practical experience in building and maintaining web applications using PHP, Laravel, and Vue.js 3.0.
• Familiarity with AWS, particularly in serverless architecture and Lambdas.
• Experience with Claude/Anthropic and Snowflake.
• Proven ability to balance direct management duties with coding, performing technical reviews, and actively developing features.
• Demonstrated capability to guide development teams through disciplined two-week agile sprints.
• Ability to take direct guidance from executive leadership.
• Competence in translating product requirements into clear developer tasks.
• Skill in collaborating across functional teams.
• Previous experience in automotive dealerships, retail technology, or customer-facing marketing platforms is highly advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake beyond basic warehousing, including familiarity with data pipelines and AI/LLM components such as RAG and vector embeddings is a plus.
