Software Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and motivate the software development team.

• Cultivate a collaborative atmosphere that promotes employee growth, productivity, and high-quality delivery.

• Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management, feedback, and the creation of individual development plans.

• Manage operational capacity, including workload distribution, prioritization, vacation scheduling, working hours, time off in lieu, and resource availability.

• Identify training needs and encourage ongoing professional development.

• Enhance and refine software development processes, methodologies, and practices.

• Guide teams in the implementation of agile methodologies, with a focus on Scrum.

• Monitor delivery planning and execution to ensure adherence to deadlines, requirements, and quality standards.

• Assist the team in adapting to tools, technologies, processes, and working models.

• Ensure and continuously enhance Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) processes, including CMMI.

• Engage in strategic decision-making regarding the advancement of Metris.

• Facilitate coordination between the development team and other departments.

• Promote innovation and evaluate the application of artificial intelligence to enhance processes and solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in English, capable of professional communication.

• Strong software development background, preferably with C#.

• Familiarity with additional programming languages is advantageous.

• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices in software development.

• Experience with version control tools, particularly Git.

• Proficiency in agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

• Background in project management, activity planning, and delivery tracking.

• Knowledge of or experience with Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) processes and maturity models like CMMI.

• Experience in managing people, including team development, performance management, feedback, and resource management.

• Ability to manage change and lead teams through organizational, technological, or process transitions.

• Involvement in artificial intelligence implementation and application projects is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, or a related field.

• A postgraduate degree or specialization is regarded as an asset.
