Civils & Drainage Design and Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the ongoing development and transformation of Marshalls Civils and Drainage with an emphasis on Engineered Solutions.

• Collaborate across engineering, design, operations, manufacturing, commercial, and project teams.

• Enhance processes, systems, data, and methodologies.

• Provide engineering insights for customized precast concrete solutions in major energy, water management, wastewater, and infrastructure projects.

• Offer project and technical assistance for the creation of tailored precast elements.

• Analyze customer and project needs.

• Contribute to practical, manufacturable, and commercially viable engineering solutions.

• Report directly to the Head of Design and Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a civil/structural design and technical setting (consultancy, design & build contractor, or building products design & manufacturing).

• Qualifications in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a construction-related field (preferably degree qualified).

• Accreditation with a professional organization such as the IStructE or the ICE.

• Familiarity with Eurocode 2 design, EN 1992 Part 1-1.

• Extensive understanding of reinforced and precast concrete design and loadings is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and structural engineering & modeling software (experience with SCIA & Allplan is preferred).

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to communicate and foster relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Flexibility to adapt and respond to evolving circumstances.

• Demonstrated ability to motivate oneself and others to achieve project deadlines.
