This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated testing scripts utilizing Playwright and related frameworks.
• Design and implement comprehensive automation strategies for Vault web applications and user workflows.
• Maintain and enhance existing automated test suites as the functionality of the application evolves.
• Automate manual test scenarios through API-driven and UI-based testing workflows.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and cross-browser testing.
• Validate application behavior across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and other supported environments.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, and verify fixes through retesting.
• Analyze test failures, logs, and application behavior to isolate root causes and enhance defect quality.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows to bolster release confidence.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to test architecture, coding standards, and automation best practices.
• Collaborate with software engineers to enhance testability, automation coverage, and overall product quality.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance test development, debugging, root-cause analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
• Work alongside software engineers, security engineers, SRE, and product teams to deliver high-quality, resilient features for enterprise customers.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in SDET, test automation, software engineering, or a related technical testing role.
• Proficient in programming or test automation with JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience in building and maintaining end-to-end automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of test automation design principles, code quality, and maintainable test architecture.
• Experience in testing modern web applications across various browsers.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated build systems, and defect tracking tools.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application, API, and automation layers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product, and QA teams in an Agile development setting.
• Willingness and ability to effectively utilize AI-assisted tools to enhance automation development, debugging, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience in testing browser extensions or Electron-based desktop applications.
• Familiarity with additional testing frameworks such as Jest or RobotJS.
• Experience in testing security-sensitive, identity, or cybersecurity products.
• Knowledge of accessibility, performance, or reliability testing.
• Experience in fast-paced SaaS environments.
