Software Developer Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain automated testing frameworks from the ground up utilizing C# and Playwright.

• Work closely with developers and product managers to pinpoint high-risk areas and establish automation coverage for web applications and APIs.

• Incorporate automated test suites into Azure pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and shift-left methodologies.

• Engage in pull request evaluations for both application and test code.

• Ensure compliance with SOLID principles and maintain clean coding standards.

• Conduct root cause analyses for flaky tests and production issues.

• Deliver comprehensive technical reports and metrics to stakeholders.

• Relay QA status, progress, and potential risks to management.

• Provide insights to the team regarding project status and areas for enhancement.

• Identify cost-effective strategies to optimize monthly QA efforts.

• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and complete necessary HIPAA training.

• Collaborate with clients nationwide and adjust work hours to accommodate meetings across all time zones.

• Be prepared to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as industry demands arise.

• Travel requirements are minimal.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in software testing or development.

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• High level of proficiency in C# and the .NET Core/6+ ecosystem.

• Demonstrated experience with Playwright or Selenium for cross-browser testing.

• Practical experience testing RESTful APIs using RestSharp or Playwright’s built-in API testing features.

• Capability to write SQL queries for data integrity verification and test data setup.

• Advanced knowledge of Git, including branching, merging, and rebasing.

• Experience with Snowflake.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.

• Ability to create flow charts using tools like Lucid Charts.

• Understanding of and some experience with Figma.

• Strong communication skills.

• Capacity to prioritize and manage several projects in a fast-paced setting.

• Aptitude for troubleshooting issues in uncertain situations and offering constructive feedback.

• Ability to operate independently and make sound business decisions with general guidance.

• Skill in consolidating ideas and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in communicating with all management levels, including internal teams, customers, vendors, and business partners.

• Industry certifications in QA or testing, such as ISTQB certification.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes.

• 3–6 years of experience in software quality assurance as an SDET.

• Preferred: 4 years of software engineering experience in a healthcare finance context.

• Preferred: Direct experience in healthcare finance, particularly with self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity.

• Must complete and demonstrate proficiency in required HIPAA training.

• Must comply with HIPAA obligations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).

• Required to report any discovered HIPAA violations to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.

• Availability during core hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT is essential.

• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
