Senior SDET – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain shared automation frameworks, internal services, and developer tools that support multiple QA and engineering teams.

• Identify common testing requirements and validate functionality, integration, reliability, performance, and usability across application and platform layers.

• Construct and assess AI-assisted and agent-based testing features utilizing repeatable evaluations, human oversight, appropriate tool permissions, and fallback behavior.

• Create and automate security testing for APIs, applications, and shared platforms.

• Confirm authentication, authorization, access boundaries, and handling of sensitive data; collaborate with Security teams to ensure fixes are verified.

• Test AI-enabled tools for incorrect outputs, prompt injections, information exposure, unintended actions, and dependency failures.

• Integrate reusable quality and security checks into CI/CD workflows, ensuring actionable diagnostics, maintainable test data, documentation, and environment compatibility.

• Investigate failures and production issues related to shared tools and platforms.

• Promote adoption through documentation, demonstrations, mentoring, shared testing practices, and measurement of coverage, manual effort, and feedback time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Typically possesses 6–8 years of experience in software testing, including over 3 years in building test automation frameworks, quality engineering tools, or shared testing platforms.

• Proficient programming skills, particularly in Python.

• Experience in applying software design, automated testing, code review, and maintainability best practices.

• Extensive hands-on testing experience encompassing APIs, services, user interfaces, and platform integrations.

• Familiarity with functional, integration, reliability, and performance testing.

• Practical experience in building and assessing AI-assisted testing solutions, including agent workflows, variable outputs, evaluation criteria, tool permissions, data protection, and failure handling.

• Experience in delivering reusable tools for multiple teams, demonstrating product thinking, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, adoption support, and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong expertise with cloud environments, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.

• Hands-on experience in security testing that includes authentication, authorization, API security, and handling of sensitive data.

• Capability to automate security checks, investigate findings, and work collaboratively with security specialists.
