Software Test Automation Engineer – AI Startup

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive UI test automation for the Occibo web application

• Create test plans, test cases, and regression suites for essential user workflows

• Convert product specifications into automated tests, including handling edge cases

• Collaborate with the development team to establish test data strategies and reliable selectors

• Incorporate API-level tests to enhance UI testing and boost overall dependability

• Execute tests within CI pipelines, monitor failures, and assist in maintaining a stable and manageable test suite

• Utilize AI tools to accelerate the creation, analysis, and upkeep of tests

• Maintain documentation of testing procedures, results, and quality improvement suggestions

• Work with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Vitest, GitHub Actions, and Postman

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in software testing or QA automation

• Familiarity with at least one test automation framework — Playwright or Cypress preferred

• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript and Git

• Knowledge of CI pipelines and effective test design

• Experience utilizing AI tools in testing or development processes

• Fluent in English

• Ability to work in EU time zones or have significant overlap during European business hours

• Eager to thrive in a fast-paced early-stage startup environment where ownership is valued

• Preferred: Previous experience in SaaS UI automation

• Preferred: Experience with API testing using Postman or REST clients

• Located in Indonesia or capable of working within the Indonesia time zone
