Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the delivery process for moderately complex features and small to medium-sized projects from concept to production.

• Design, create, test, and uphold clean, dependable, and well-documented code.

• Act as the technical owner to ensure quality, performance, scalability, and security.

• Develop and manage automated tests to facilitate safe and reliable deployments.

• Define scope, estimate, and oversee work while effectively communicating progress, risks, and obstacles.

• Troubleshoot issues and explore unfamiliar areas of the codebase, including participating in support rotations.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams on requirements, feasibility, and design considerations.

• Engage in stand-ups, technical discussions, and code reviews.

• Provide support and mentorship to junior developers and enhance team processes.

• Cultivate an understanding of the product, customers, and company objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development, computer science, or computer engineering; co-op/internship experience is valid.

• Proficiency in at least one core programming language, such as .NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Strong working knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL Server, including schema design, querying, and performance considerations.

• Familiarity with a modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, including frameworks, build tools, package managers, and debugging workflows.

• Practical experience in writing and maintaining automated tests.

• Capability to scope, estimate, and execute moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision.

• Excellent collaboration skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
