Social Media Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Edit brief LinkedIn videos, typically ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

• Transform raw footage into refined and engaging social media content.

• Incorporate captions, callouts, zooms, screenshots, charts, and basic motion graphics.

• Apply consistent and clean color grading.

• Improve audio quality through basic sound design and leveling.

• Simplify complex business and data-heavy subjects to make them visually appealing.

• Craft compelling openings that capture viewers' attention within the first few seconds.

• Adapt longer recordings into concise clips.

• Uphold a clean, premium, and data-oriented brand aesthetic.

• Collaborate with a U.S.-based team and respond to feedback effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of professional video editing experience.

• A robust portfolio showcasing social media video projects.

• Exceptional understanding of pacing, storytelling, captions, and visual hierarchy.

• Experience in editing talking-head, educational, or business-related content.

• Proficient in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or similar software.

• Good command of written English.

• Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently.

• Experience with B2B, SaaS, marketing, design, or technology content is a plus.

• Skills in motion graphics or After Effects are advantageous.

• Familiarity with LinkedIn and YouTube editing styles is a bonus.

• Interest in A/B testing, CRO, UX, or digital marketing is preferred.
