This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of Empathy's organic social strategy and execution from start to finish, primarily focusing on LinkedIn and Instagram while exploring other platforms as necessary.
• Develop and nurture engaged audiences across consumer/member communities and B2B sectors, including insurers, wealth management firms, agents, advisors, benefits leaders, and HR professionals.
• Oversee copy and creative direction for platform-specific content, ensuring consistent publishing and collaboration with the Design team.
• Transform campaigns, product launches, research findings, reports, client stories, user testimonials, and brand highlights into social-first narratives tailored for each audience and channel.
• Propel thought leadership and amplify executive and employee presence on LinkedIn to engage and influence B2B buyers.
• Establish objectives, monitor engagement and audience growth, and convert performance analytics into creative strategies.
• Conduct ongoing testing of hooks, formats, timing, and approaches, and provide reports on the outcomes.
• Carefully uphold Empathy's brand voice with sensitivity and emotional intelligence surrounding themes of loss, caregiving, and serious illness.
• Employ AI tools to expedite ideation, production, and refinement without sacrificing quality or trust.
• Stay informed about platform trends, formats, and algorithm changes.
• Collaborate with Brand Design, Motion Design, and external partners as necessary.
• Over 7 years of experience in managing organic social media for a prominent, innovative brand, ideally covering both consumer and B2B audiences.
• Proven ability to grow and engage audiences with a data-driven and results-focused mindset.
• Exceptional writing skills paired with a clear creative vision and a passion for storytelling, along with the ability to guide our Design team and utilize the appropriate tools to realize ideas and achieve results.
• Strong expertise in LinkedIn (particularly for B2B thought leadership and amplification) and Instagram, with the capability to adapt to TikTok, YouTube, or X.
• Solid brand and storytelling instincts, combined with the emotional intelligence to approach sensitive subjects with care.
• Competence in converting complex or regulated topics into clear, impactful, and credible content.
• Strong understanding of B2B personas and how to make a brand appealing to business buyers, not solely consumers.
• Proficient in AI tools for content creation and workflow enhancement.
• Analytical skills: adept at social metrics and reporting, and capable of transforming data into creative decisions.
• A self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Availability to work east coast hours.
• Bonus: experience in health technology, insurance or benefits, fintech, or another trust-sensitive, B2B2C field.
• Independent Contractor (1099).
