SOC Director, Cyber Fusion Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise Avertium’s 24/7 Cyber Fusion Center.

• Cultivate stakeholder relationships and nurture positive connections with clients.

• Serve as an escalation point for client issues.

• Oversee the Cyber Fusion Center, manage service transitions, and provide operational support.

• Collaborate directly with clients to create and deliver top-tier security services.

• Offer security expertise and thought leadership to both clients and internal teams.

• Lead the around-the-clock delivery team of SOC Analysts within Avertium’s Cyber Fusion Center located in the US and Mexico.

• Optimize processes to align with and surpass customer expectations.

• Manage KPI metrics for the Cyber Fusion Center and provide analyzed reports to leadership.

• Utilize metrics to inform decisions that improve organizational capabilities and efficiency.

• Provide specialized assistance for customer management issues, security incidents, and ticket prioritization.

• Organize and train other "Elements" in managing security incidents and client escalations.

• Encourage collaboration among Sales, Service Delivery, Engineering, and Professional Services teams.

• Partner with recruitment to sustain a robust talent pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.

• A minimum of 5 years leading customer service-focused, multinational teams.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in a Managed Security Services Provider.

• Preferred certifications include Security +, Network +, and CISSP.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, a desire to lead, and the capacity to thrive in challenging environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.

• Experience with SIEM technologies such as MS Sentinel, AlienVault, and LogRhythm.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Security Solutions is preferred.

• Proficient in security tools and technologies such as IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection.

• Practical knowledge of widely adopted frameworks and methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK, CIS, NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, etc.).

• Experience with Linux and Windows in virtual environments.

• Skilled in report writing and creating other relevant documentation.

• Awareness of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
